It will be a privilege to celebrate the Baptism of your child here at St Vincent's. According to the law of the Church, Baptisms are celebrated in the parish where the child lives (NOT where the parents used to live or where they were married).
Batism is held in the Parish on the first Saturday of each month at 11am.
Baptism is the Sacrament which marks the beginning of a person's faith journey. It is a most significant event as we name, celebrate and welcome a new member to our community of faith. Our preparation program includes an evening session for parents, and of course godparents are welcome too. We also ask that parents attend Mass with us at least once prior to the baptism if you are not a regular member of our community, so that we can welcome you and your child, bless you and pray for you as you prepare as a family for this wonderful Sacrament.
The usual time for Baptism is 11am on the first Saturday of each month.
